鸭的英文读后感篇1
"the call of the wild" is the american writer jack london was published in 1903 in the novel, reading some other book, sometimes play mobile phone watch a little something to eat in the brain have a rest, read this and saw this paragraph cant wait to look down on, then let a person can, it is the slow and orderly process, make it strong and far-reaching influence.
the story is about a dog named buck, who was sold from the south to the north during the gold rush. in order to survive in the harsh environment of the north, buck became a sledge-pulling slave dog after several trials and turns. in the process of cruel taming, he realized the law of justice and nature. bad living environment let it know cunning and deceit, then it will be cunning and deceit to play to the extent that people do not want to. after a brutal, desperate struggle, it finally established itself as the leading dog. buck and thornton, the last master, had formed an inseparable bond during the arduous sledding journey. this master had rescued him from the most arduous servitude, and he had repeatedly spared his life to rescue his master. finally, after the tragic death of his beloved master, he heads out into the wilderness, answering the wild call he has heard and yearned for many times along the way, and becomes the leader of the pack.
thorntons death left him with infinite regret. it was something like hunger, but hunger was fed by food, and grief pained him again and again. thornton was the man buck loved, and unlike some of the people or dogs he had met before, it was love. the author allows us to examine the world from the unique perspective of animals, to reflect human life and behavior through dogs, and to reveal the beauty and ugliness of human nature through peoples kindness and evil toward dogs. throughout bucks life, he has never been respected and loved equally by human beings.
in the stories, dogs also have different personalities: some are docile and easy-going, some are friendly, some are acrimonious and extroverted, some are dignified, some are sinister and vicious, some are timid and afraid, and some are lazy and malingering. these dogs, too, are a microcosm of human society. theres competition between humans, theres competition between dogs; human beings have responsibilities, and so do they. they are also the representation of the human soul. theyre wild, human, and theyre wild. in the bottom of everyones heart, in fact, just like buck, there lurks a deepest, most primitive, and undetectable wildness. modern mans life, oppressed by all kinds of rules for so long, can no longer see the wild, can only see a domesticated animal. and the wild people, is unruly, is full of vitality. they are not troubled by the mechanization of work and life, full of the spirit of upward intentions. they love and hate, they are cruel and kind, they hate and they love, and they are not afraid to show their emotions. their souls, daring to answer the call of ancient times; their souls belong to nature. they are the human bucks.
this book teaches us the spirit, the perseverance to overcome difficulties and the desire for freedom, as well as the law of survival in this cruel world, the law of the jungle, we have to be stronger!
wild, may be a cruel thing, but it is also a very simple thing. it can give a polite dog the pleasure of killing; it can also make a bloody dog loyal to a person, but in the final analysis, it may eventually bring a kind of soul belonging to it.

鸭的英文读后感篇3
i knew mark twain when i was a middle school student. in my memory, there is an article in my english textbook that written by him. at that time, i pay no attention to mark twain. however, i knew more about him after i learned the history and anthology of american literature, he appeals to me dearly and deeply. as a result, i read a part of his novels in part time. here i will introduce million pounds to you. before that, i will give some information about mark twain to you. and last, it comes my though.
samuel langhorne clemens (november 30, 1835 – april 21, 1910) was an american humorist, satirist, lecturer and writer, better known by the pen name mark twain. he was born in florida, missouri and brought up in hannibal, missouri. after his father's death in 1847, he was apprenticed to a printer and wrote for his brother's newspaper. he later worked as a licensed mississippi river-boat pilot. the civil war put an end to the steamboat traffic and clemens moved to virginia city, where he edited the territorial enterprise. on february 3, 1863, 'mark twain' was born when clemens signed a humorous travel account with that pseudonym. he often uses exaggerated ways to show his irony.
mark twain is most noted for his novels adventures of huckleberry finn, and the adventures of tom sawyer. he is also known for his quotations. during his life, clemens became a friend to presidents, artists, leading industrialists and european royalty. for i love the one million pounds note best, i would introduce it to you.
is there real free-lunch in the world? maybe there is! and such kind of “free lunch” strikes the poor and honest young man henry adams who has surprisingly got a one-million bank note from the brothers (roderick & oliver)。 as a matter of fact, the brothers had made a bet, if a poor, honest and clever people who come knocking on the door received the one million pounds, what will be happening to his life? the elder brother think that he would starve to death because he could not prove that the money belongs to him, will be arousing others’ suspicion, and even the banks do not let him deposit the money. on the contrary, the younger brother believes that he would live in a very good life. so the brothers lend the one million pounds to henry adams, and spent 30 days abroad.
from then on, henry adams becomes a bright focus of the money-priority society. later, the lucky young man experiences two sharply different treatments in the tailor shop. in the ball, people from every social class try every chance to show their friendship and flattery to the new millionaire. adams never has the chance to spend a penny because no one can change the million and he is soon living in a luxurious hotel suite, wearing expensive suits. no one asks him to pay bill, these are forwarded for later payment. he even gets the chance to go to the party that held by duke. fortunately, henry meets jane griffiths and fall in love with this beautiful woman. he also comes across his good friend. the man gives him some advice to earn money. 30 days has passed, henry adams asks his girlfriend company him to meet the brothers. out of his expectation, his girlfriend is the daughter of one of the brothers. and finally he got a very good job from the brother. and he lived a very happy life.
mark twain's short story of "one million pounds note" is a very good work. the article satires the thoughts of "money is everything," "money is omnipotent," and expose the ugly face of capitalist society. as we all know, the root of the story was the bet of the brothers. what is the bet actually? where does the attraction of the bank note lie in?
as far as i am concerned, the one million pounds note takes an interesting, satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in england. england is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich. the novel shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when they find out that you're a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost. the story was based on the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the novel from being a mockery of the british society. the love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained. the ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.
in my heart, herry was so luckily, not everyone can get the chance to use the million. i am so envious of the "lucky" of the heroine, but at the same time i would like to think that the reason why people carry favor with him is just that they attract too much important to money, isn’t it? money worship is shameful and should not be reaping more! money is not omnipotent, and in the world, there are many things that more important than money .
鸭的英文读后感篇4
"gone with the wind" is the american woman writer margaret johnson. mitchell wrote a long novel that was beautifully written, fluent in language, dramatic, and gripping. the book is based on the american civil war, and the narrative is based on scarlett's emotions. "gone with the wind" has become an influential and influential book since its launch.
i read this book after work. the characters in the story are scarlett, ashley and ryan, and, of course, melani. "gone with the wind" is divided into two parts. when i look at the department, it just feels that scarlett is a beautiful woman, and many men like her very much. what impressed me a little bit was that when she was turned down by him for his love for ashley, he was told by another man, rhett, that the setting of the scene made me laugh. but, to my surprise, the place that made me laugh was the one that laid the groundwork for any future plot. when i read the lower part of the book, i suddenly found out that this was a masterpiece. i thought the plot was too dramatic, but at the end of the story, i watched it over and over again, crying over and over again. look at the whole book and find out that the descriptions i think are exaggerated are not exaggerated at all.
you love someone who doesn't love you, but you find that the perfect shadow you love is the one you love. the man who is deeply disgusted with himself, but loves his own love, has not the courage of love. there are so many examples in the real world that i'm stuck in this cycle, unable to escape. the book is about a tangle of unsolved love, but i know that such mislove is not unique to books.
i felt that i was deeply fascinated by it soon after i had read it。
i first read it in a summer。 i did not finish it at a single sitting。 however, the moment i finished it, near midnight in a sweltering august day, with my body poured with sweat, held my breath to turn the last page over, shut the book and heaved a sigh of relief, i just could not express how i felt。 all were over: trouble was over; lives were over; hopes were over。 i was shocked how such a small book could contain such a complicated story。 never were wars, diseases and starvation ever nakedly exposed to me like this。 the turns in plots were surprising but natural。
it was a tragedy: just as its name suggested, everything was gone with the wind, including families’ touch, friends’ support, sweethearts’ gaze and youth with vigour。 the story reminds us of valuing all we were possessing。 a life lasts for a short time and anything in it lasts shorter。 we always lose something unconsciously and then feel regretful when we need them later。
characters in the story were so vivid as if they had been going to jump out of the story, as if they had been existed in the real life at first。
“land is the only thing in the world that amounts to anything, for ‘this the only thing in this world that lasts, and don’t you be forgetting it’ this the only thing worth working for, worth fighting for——worth dying for。” said gerald, an irish man who loved his soil more than his own life, let us know that life can be born out of land。
“but scarlett, did it ever occur to you that even the most deathless love could wear out? mine wore out, against ashley wilkes and your insane obstinacy that makes you hold on like a bulldog to anything you think about。”
“scarlett, i was never one to patient pick up broken fragment glue them together and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new。 what is broken is broken——and i’d rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as i lived。” said rett butler, a man who love scalett as much as a man can love a woman。 loving her for years before he finally got her, he loved her crazily but did not let her know it for fear of being hurt。 but at last he still could not escape from hurts。 “my dear, i don’t give a damn。” look, he did not care about it at all。 he was a man who disguised himself so much。
“i mustn’t bawl; i mustn’t beg。 i mustn’t do anything risk his contempt。 he must respect me even——even if he doesn’t love me。”
“i’ll think of it all tomorrow, at tara。 i can stand it then。 tomorrow, i’ll think some way to get him back。 after all, tomorrow is another day。”
said scalett o’hara, the most wonderful woman i’ve ever seen。 she was hard and greedy and unscrupulous, a brave, frightened, bull—headed child。 though she only thought about how to attract man’s attention and did not do anything useful before the war, she did surprise me when i read about her doings after the war。 at that time, her tara was just reduced to ashes。 everyone sketched out their hands and asked her for food。 she bravely faced the reality and rebuilt tara with her own hands。 what a tough woman, i thought。 though those she loved were all gone, she was still full of hope。 when rett didn’t love her anymore and wanted to leave her, she said “i mustn’t bawl… even if he doesn’t love me。” a woman’s dignity could be seen from what she have said and done。 that’s why i appreciate her。
this novel gave me too much to think about and i can not fully express myself in english。 it is true that reading an origin is more vivid than the translated ones。 however, my english level limits me to understand the origin well without the translated。 but i will work hard in order to understand better。
the novel is my treasure, forever, because i find myself in scarlett and find the world i live in inside the story。
that’s really an excellent novel, with an ending from which you can see hope rising from despair。
scarlett , a very personality figures ,the two mans she love ,neither does she know about。to her, i was compelled to admire, admire her strong and brave, admire her to lay down in the environment, farm workers previously suffered education, admire her to disregard the community to create their own expression of the cause 。she is in the whole story, all a person full of fighting will full of vitality 。 i appreciated most , it is this " tomorrow is another day of hers " 。 promising forever, full of fighting will , will never give up, never desperate。 i think i'm moved by her。so, whenever i meet difficulty, the mood is not good, i will tell oneself : " tomorrow is another day。 " 'gone with the wind' is absolutely a good book that is worth sampling repeatedly, the characters are graceful , the plot rises and falls, exciting boldly and unconstrainedly, though the subjective factor because of the author among them , the appraisal on u。s。a。's civil war is not objective and overall, but as to angle of literature, this one fine piece of writing generation definitely absolutely, worth visiting。
author: antoine de st—exupery
main characters: the little prince, the pilot, the rose, the fox, the snake, etc。
despite i’ve not in my childhood yet, i still prefer reading fairy—tale stories。 the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children。 this summer i’ve review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940。 it’s the world—famous fairy—tale by the french author, antoine de st—exupery, the little prince。
as many other fairy—tales, the outline of the little prince is not very complex。 “i”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the sahara。 in this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the asteroid b612。 the little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet。 in that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids。
on his all—alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer。 from these people he gets a conclusion that the grown—ups are very odd。 following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the sahara, on the earth。
鸭的英文读后感篇5
pride and prejudice is the work of jane austen, a british woman writer. the scope of this work is only three or four families in a village, with elizabeth as the main character. the main plot is nothing more than the chat about marriage and property in the front of the fireplace and in the meeting of relatives and friends, the bee chase and butterfly chase in the market, church, dance, banquet and other occasions, and the love talk.
the arrogance of darcy and the prejudice of the heroine all have obvious class attribute. their frustrations in love are not due to their accidental misunderstanding, but because there is an inevitable gap between the two sides in different class status. elizabeth, as a middle-class common girl, only by virtue of the charm of her personality and her excellent quality, won the fame and fortune of the noble young master, and finally became a good couple with her. this is another copy of cinderellas story.
the same is true in life. only by putting down the arrogant attitude, throwing away the prejudiced vision, treating with empathy, and understanding each other through communication, can we know each other. like mr. darcy in the book, although the appearance gives the impression of arrogance, arrogance and superciliousness. but the heart is kind and sincere and willing to let go, its attitude of not stubborn is really appreciated.

class one student no.10 name: anna wang great expectation was written by charles dickens (1812-1870), one of the most popular writers of all the time, who created some of the best-known characters in english literature. great expectation is similar to david copperfield in that it is the story of a boy growing up.
pip has lost his parents when he was fifteen years old. he was brought up by his sister and her husband--joe gargery, a blacksmith who takes pip on as an apprentice, teaches him his trade and makes friends with him. one day before christmas, when pip went to the churchyard where his parents were buried, he met an escaping convict-- abel magwitch. pip brought cakes for the hungry man, which touched abel deeply, although he was caught by police. after the christmas, pip was invited to play with estella, a beautiful girl adopted by miss havisham. miss havisham was the richest man in the village. but she was very strange. she was dressed a bridal veil all the whole life after her fiancé left her at the wedding day, taking her a large amount of property. so she lived in the revenge and hated all the men. she treated estella as a tool to take revenge on all man. when pip met estella, he loved her, so did estella. but estella knew she was just a tool to carry out the revenge plan of miss havisham, so she pretended to be proud, indifferent and look down upon pip- a relative of a poor blacksmith, which broke pip’s heart. as a consequence, pip was determined to become a real gentleman who is in possession of money, good manners, luxurious life and a great expectation for estella’s sake. under the help of a stranger who donated a lot of money to him, pip left joe and the village, and went to london to live a luxurious life to learn to how to become a real gentleman. pip started to waste money, look down upon other poor people, even including joe, his brother-in-law and best friend! gradually, pip lost himself in the whirlpool of money, although he has had a large number of debts. as the same time, estella has become more and more beautiful, graceful and brilliant. she walked in the crowd of men and married one of them as the miss havisham’s wish, which really tore pip into pieces. and, as the same time, the mysterious benefactor of pip came out. he is abel- the escaping convict whom pip has helped. when he escaped from the prison again, he earned much money and wanted to pay back pip in that way. but abel soon was caught by police and died. the properties he gave to pip
also were confiscated by police. pip fell from the heaven to hell. he couldn’t stand it. as a result, he had a serious ill.
after receiving a letter describing the bad situation of pip, joe came to london to look after pip in spite of the bad attitude pip ever towards him. after recovering, pip realized his wrong. he decided to be a gentleman by his own endeavor. so he came back to the small village and spared no efforts to make business with his friend--herbert. several years later, pip met estella again at the old house of miss havisham. after knowing her husband has died and the real reason why estella didn’t choose him before, pip made a proposal to her. at last, the two lovers were in together and pip found his real great expectation at the end.
when i finished reading the novel, i also take consideration to the question “what a real great expectation is?” in my opinion, great expectation not means money, luxurious life provided by others, even the benefactors are your parents. it is our own dreams that we want to realize by our own efforts. great expectation may be the further study, a respectable degree, a good job, a warm family or something else. but we must know that our future and great expectation must be mastered by our own. we should working for them, fighting for them, even dying for them, whatever. only when we got what we want by our own endeavor, can we say we have had a great expectation.
